Joanne Roberts was born in a patch of woods in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She grew up with a scribble pad as her constant companion. As a frequent visitor to Cricket Country, it was only
natural that Joanne should create art and stories for children's magazines when she got older.
Now she spends her days reading, writing, and drawing, accompanied by her husband, three kids, four cats, and way too many books. She still carries a sketchbook with her everywhere, or her latest
middle grade crush. Most weekends she can be found playing board games with her family and daydreaming about her latest project.
